Beeston is a leafy suburb located around 3.5 miles southwest of Nottingham city centre. It is accessible by bus, tram and train and is home to the University of Nottingham. The headquarters of Boots, which was founded in Nottingham, is also located in Beeston.
Beeston is home to lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, has a bustling town centre and hosts lots of local community events. The River Trent and Nottingham canal network run along the south of Beeston, joining at Beeston Marina. From here you can walk along the canal to Nottingham city centre in one direction and Attenborough and the Trent Lock in the other.
